Deva - India

Deva was first introduced to the football program we run in India when he was just 16 years old. As a youngster, he would skip school and hang out with his gang of friends at a local cemetery where they would drink, smoke and just while away their time.

But after joining the football training, his life took a completely different turn. Deva proved to be a good athlete, participating at the state level. He also began coaching in the program, and pursued his dream to become a football referee.

Today, Deva has completed the second level of the Karnataka State Football Association’s certification for football referees, and has officiated in over 30 state level football matches.

Deva is an inspiration and an example of how hard work and determination can lead to success in life.
