Hear what our Freedom Walkers have to say about Footsteps for Freedom

Greater Sydney is locked down for August, but that hasn’t stopped many of The Freedom Project’s supporters from turning their exercise this month into Footsteps For Freedom.

This August, we’re launching a campaign where you choose your own fundraising goal, choose your own walking goal and help us end modern day slavery by signing up as a Freedom Walker or sponsoring someone else!

Some people are participating in groups, families or pairs, and others are flying solo!

One church small group of 17 people are aiming to walk 1000km between them and raise $5000 in the process! Click here to get inspired by some of the walking goals of other Freedom Walkers!

But enough hype from us!
Let’s hear what some of our wonderful Freedom Walkers have to say about it:

  • “It’s really nice being able to do some good in a time where it’s hard to volunteer or do things in the community. It feels great doing something for fun and for a good cause at the same time!” Says Sarah from the Central Coast.

  • Hannah from Sydney’s North Shore says; ”I love that Footsteps for Freedom gives me a chance to bring purpose and mission to my walking in lockdown. It means I can make use of the one thing I can do – exercise – and give it a purpose for good!”

  • “All I can do is walk, so why not walk with more of a reason? It helps me feel that little bit better about life, making a small difference every step I take.” Says Woody.

  • Matt says, “it’s been so good knowing that when I get out and go for a walk, I’m able to support the Freedom Project at the same time!”
