Awareness & Education

Awareness & Education

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world –

Nelson Mandela

The Freedom Project is actively engaged in community awareness and education.

Awareness starts when someone tells the truth, others begin to listen, and the door is opened to become fully educated. The circle is complete when education results not just in an emotional response but in action. Knowledge compels responsibility.

In Schools & UniversitiesEngaging the future generations in the issues of slavery and trafficking is a major focus for us. We present engaging and age appropriate presentations to secondary school and tertiary students. Topics covered may include:

  • What trafficking and slavery looks like
  • The cycle of slavery
  • Where does it happen
  • What are the causes
  • Social, emotional and physical implications for victims
  • The solutions

In Churches  & Youth Groups

Presenting in churches and youth groups is a key way to grow our community and allows us to engage with the spiritual dynamic of the injustice of modern day slavery.

Topics covered may include:

  • What trafficking and slavery looks like
  • Slavery as a spiritual issue
  • The importance of prayer as part of the solution
  • The role of the church in slavery and trafficking
  • The cycle of slavery
  • What the Bible has to say
  • The solutions

In the Business Community

Presenting to the business community is a vital part of the life of The Freedom Project.

Small and large businesses and corporations who have a sense of social responsibility are given a vehicle to build that culture into their work place and can make significant differences for our work and in the lives of those trapped in the cycle of slavery.

We take our presentations to those in positions of influence to educate and inspire people to partner with us in the fight to end one of the worst crimes in the modern era.
