BIRTHED BY A DEEP, HEARTFELT BURDEN IMPRESSED UPON LIZ AT A WOMENS CONFERENCE IN 2007. Along with Mike's years of aid and mission experience, THE FREEDOM PROJECT LAUNCHED IN 2010.
After being presented the horrific concerns regarding the plight of trafficked children Liz and a group of 3 other women organised a dinner to raise money against the issue. Still the burden wouldn't pass. A few books later, Liz's interest was growing. Liz and Michael went to India with another organisation and finally the burden cemented. Upon returning and reflecting whilst sitting on Newport Beach in Sydney commitment was finally made. The Freedom Project was born.
What's happened since?
In 2010 Liz & Michael Newton Brown started The Freedom Project. It began with one project in Thailand. Now The Freedom Project works in four regions of India, Thailand, Phillipines & Burma through direct partnerships. Children are rescued, rehabilitated, educated & prevented from trafficking daily.
