Our Mission

The Freedom Project was established in 2010 by Michael and Liz Newton-Brown as an International Christian aid organisation working to eradicate the obscene injustice of slavery and human trafficking. Driven by the desire to seek justice, love mercy and be a voice for the voiceless, our mandate is to bring the issue of slavery out of the darkness and into the light.

Travelling to countries including Uganda, Cambodia, Thailand, India and the USA, to research the issues of slavery and trafficking, the scope of the problem compelled them to act. The Freedom Project was borne from and continues to be built on 2 strong convictions:

  1. Authentic faith is always accompanied by good deeds.
  2. The injustice of modern day slavery must be stopped.
